Scarsdale Dietary System

The Scarsdale diet is a free dietary plan because it doesn’t set any portion limitations. Instead, it allows you to eat as much as you want, so that you feel satisfied but never stuffed.

Breakfast

According to the Scarsdale diet, breakfast is always the same – one half of a grapefruit is perfect, but the grapefruit can be replaces with any other fruits.

The fruit is combined with a slice of toasted protein bread.

You can also have sugar-free coffee or tea. Do not use cream, milk and honey.

Monday

Lunch:

The Monday lunch consists of assorted cold nuts; sliced, broiled or stewed tomatoes and a drink than may be coffee, tea, water or diet soda.

Dinner:

For dinner you can have fish or shellfish, some king of Combination salads, and vegetables according to your preferences. You can add a slice of toasted bread and grapefruit. In case there isn’t any grapefruit available, you can use other fruits. Your dinner drink may be coffee, tea, diet soda or water.

Tuesday

Lunch:

For lunch you can have lots of broiled hamburger, tomatoes, lettuce, celery, cucumbers and Brussels sprouts. You can also have up to four olives. Drink some coffee, tea, diet soda or water.

Dinner:

The dinner may include a fruit salad made of any kinds of food. You can have coffee, tea, water or diet soda.

Wednesday

Lunch:

The Wednesday lunch is tuna fish or salmon salad with lemon and vinegar, combined with grapefruit, melon or other seasonal fruits. Allowed drinks include coffee, tea, diet soda and water.

Dinner:

The dinner menu consists of a sliced roast lamb without fat, salad made of lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber and celery, and coffee, tea, diet soda or water. The roast lamb may be replaces with fish, chicken, seafood or turkey.

Thursday

Lunch:

On Thursday, your lunch may include two eggs, cooked according to your preferences but without fat, low-fat cheese, zucchini or tomatoes, a slice of toasted protein bread, and coffee, tea, diet soda or water.

Dine with a roast, broiled or barbecued chicken with removed skin at fat, lots of spinach, green peppers and beans. You can choose coffee, tea, diet soda or water.

Friday

Lunch:

For your lunch you may combine slices of different cheese that is recommended to be low-fat, as much spinach as you like, a slice of toasted protein bread, and diet soda, water, tea or coffee.

Dinner:

The dinner menu should consist of fish or shellfish, salad made of fresh or cooked vegetables of your own choice, a slice of toasted protein bread and a drink – coffee, tea, water or diet soda.

Saturday

Lunch:

The Saturday lunch should be a salad of various fruits and coffee, tea, water or diet soda.

Dinner:

Your dinner is roast chicken or turkey, tomatoes and lettuce salad, grapefruit or another seasonal fruit, and a drink of tea, water, coffee or diet soda.

Sunday

Lunch:

On Sunday your lunch is cold or hot chicken or turkey, tomatoes, carrots, cooked cabbage or broccoli, and a drink of water, diet soda, coffee or tea.

Dinner:

Your dinner should have lots of grilled steak without fat, salad made of lettuce, cucumbers, celery and tomatoes, and Brussels Sprouts. You can choose your drink between coffee, tea, water or diet soda.
